A Taste of Staffordshire

ImageAs a company, we do not underestimate the value and the principles of sourcing our food from our local area.  Wherever we can we will buy from manufacturers and growers around us.  Why?

Well, to do so is . . .

Good for the environment

Local products are often produced using traditional methods that maintain valuable areas for wildlife. They are also transported over short distances reducing pollution.

Good for the economy

Buying locally supports local livelihoods and keeps the value of goods within the area.

Good for health

Local food products are often made using few additives and very fresh ingredients.

Good for the community

Buying locally puts consumers and producers in direct contact with each other, encouraging a sense of community and an understanding of each other’s interests.

And because we think it’s so important to strengthen links with local manufacturers and growers we support a local initiative called “A Taste of Staffordshire”.

We also sponsor the “Taste of Staffordshire Good Food Awards” held each year to honour the best eating places in the county.
