Fruit and vegetables are, and always have been, at the centre of our business.  We’ve been buying and selling fruit and vegetables for many years and by now, we really do know what we’re doing.

We import much of our stock all year round but, in the summer months, we also buy huge amounts from many local farms and growers.   Buying locally is very important to us.  In fact, it’s so important that we support and sponsor a local initiative that promotes food produced within Staffordshire.  If it’s important to you that the food you buy is grown locally, then take a look at the following link . . .

Much of the stock we buy is delivered every day (actually, most of it arrives in the middle of the night).  Anything that doesn’t look right goes back . . . we’re not interested in buying or selling inferior produce just for the sake of making a few extra pennies.

And buying daily works for us because it means that we’re able to turn over the stock in our warehouse within hours sometimes, not days . . . so it works for our customers too.   Our attention to our buying processes means that we can pretty much guarantee the freshness of the goods you buy from us.   But, we and our customers do recognize that we’re all dealing with very perishable produce and, just occasionally, faulty items can slip through the net.  But that’s not a worry for our chefs because they know that if ever anything gets to them that’s not right, they can give us a call and we’ll sort things out . . . and quickly!

Availability is not a problem either.   We have good contacts and good sources of supply, so as long the product you want is in season, there’s every chance we’ll get it for you.
